Welcome to my online portfolio! I'm Laci Michaud, a registered Blackfeet Indian Nation descendant born and raised in Alaska. I have a passion for communications, marketing, and graphic design, and I'm excited to share some examples with you!

 

After starting my formal education at the University of Alaska Anchorage, I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, followed by another Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing. While exploring my career options, I briefly pursued an MBA and studied law, but ultimately realized they weren't the right fit for me. In 2016, I obtained my Master's Degree in Strategic Communication from the Edward R. Murrow College of Communication at Washington State University.

 

Throughout my career, I've had the opportunity to work in Alaska's energy and resource development sector, as well as healthcare, both for small non-profits and large corporations. I've had the privilege of working across the state, from the North Slope to Anchorage, and even in remote locations during the pandemic. I've been recognized for my achievements, including being named to The Alaska Journal of Commerce's "Top Forty Under 40" in 2018 and winning first place in the PRSA Alaska Aurora Awards for the Best Event category in 2019.

 

Currently, I serve as the Secretary of the Board for the Alaska Humanities Forum and have been involved with the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Alaska chapter in the past. In my spare time, I create sustainable, recycled, crystallized mixed-media art and home décor, which you can explore and purchase on my website, www.lacimichaud.com. However, above all, I cherish spending time with my family, who still resides in Valdez, and cuddling with my rescue puppies.
